1. Contact Us
For questions about KOTODAMA (the "App"), or to report a problem, please write to
support@mainichi-apps.win
A reply may take a few days. When reporting a problem, it helps if you can include:
- Your device (for example, iPhone 15 / Android)
- The app version (if the settings screen shows one)
- Which screen you were on, and what you did when it happened
2. How to Use the App
- Write an affirmation and select it: it is delivered as a notification during the time window you set (split evenly into 1–12 deliveries a day).
- The notification text can include the name you entered (the {name} placeholder).
- On iOS, tapping “Backup” or “Restore” moves your data through iCloud. iCloud is not used unless you tap them.
3. Frequently Asked Questions
- Is what I record sent anywhere?
- No. Records are stored only on your device. There is no account and no sign-in, and nothing is sent to an external server. See the Privacy Policy for details.
- How do I delete everything?
- Deleting the App removes everything stored on your device. Anything you backed up to iCloud can be removed by deleting the App’s folder in iCloud Drive from the Files app on your iPhone. This cannot be undone.
- Can I move my records to a new phone?
- Not at the moment, because the records live only on your device. On a new device you start again from scratch.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. Writing, showing and notifying affirmations all happen on your device, so everything works in airplane mode. A connection is only needed when you tap Backup or Restore on iOS.
- Are there ads or in-app purchases?
- No.
- How many notifications can I get in a day?
- Between 1 and 12. They are spread evenly between the start and end times you set.
- Can I move my data to a new phone?
- On iOS, tap “Backup” to save to iCloud and “Restore” on the new device. iCloud is not used unless you tap those buttons.
- Can I lock the App?
- Yes. You can set a launch passcode and use biometrics (Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint). That setting is kept per device and is never saved to iCloud.
4. If Something Goes Wrong
- Close the App completely and open it again.
- If that does not help, restart your device.
- Check the App Store / Google Play for an update.
- If it still happens, email support@mainichi-apps.win with the three details listed above.
Reinstalling the App can fix some problems, but it also erases your records. Please treat it as a last resort.
